Hi! I’m Atlas (they/them), I’m 26 at time of writing (April 21st, 2026), and I’m an undergraduate English major and writing minor at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.

I first started writing around 2007; in a state of anger and sadness I grabbed a spare composition book and began writing a version of Bridge to Terabithia in which Leslie didn’t die. I have no clue if this notebook has miraculously survived the several house moves since then or where it is, but since I was 7 and it was my first story, I’m willing to assume it was awful. From there I continued to write everything from movie scripts I dreamed of optioning to Disney (I was still 7), to stories upon stories about anything I could think of. Of course, I still had to write for school, and at one point had points taken off from my Writing FCAT in 4th grade, because the prompt asked me to write about one day in a hypothetical scenario, and I got overexcited and wrote about three days.

A few of my works on this site are about autism; I’m an autistic self-advocate who enjoys doing research, having conversations, and writing about autism, because it’s such a big part of my everyday life. In other spaces, I’ve also written extensively about gender, (a)sexuality, and other neurodivergent conditions such as ADHD, OCD, and synesthesia (the last of which I’m still a top-viewed writer for on Quora).

Most or all of my friends are also writers, and we regularly share resources with each other and have mini-workshops.

Outside of writing, I’m also a musician and music lover (my associate’s degrees were made almost entirely of music courses, but are not considered music degrees because the community college did not offer a music degree at the time). I’ve showcased two of those works on this site as well.

I’m also a fan of video games, and have been challenging some of the hardest bosses in the popular MMORPG, Final Fantasy XIV with some of my closest friends. I hold a ridiculous amount of knowledge about many topics including, most recently, Mount Everest (which we have all been pronouncing incorrectly) as a result of having autism and ADHD.

At the end of it all, I also have an older brother, two younger brothers, three dogs, two cats, two ferrets, and a betta fish named Friend. I spend time with my family, my long-distance partner, Jasper, and a few close friends when I’m not losing my mind over school, writing, or music.
